OUR STORY

Nothing Goes Down Like A Cold Dead Frog.

Our vision was born out of passion for craft beer and hunger to drive the industry forward. Owned, operated and built by Derrick and Donna Smith, Dead Frog Brewery crafts bold and original brews.

Originally founded as Backwoods Brewing, the first beer was brewed in a cramped but cozy warehouse across from the Twilight Drive-In. After operating for nearly a decade in Aldergrove, Derrick and Donna Smith rebranded as Dead Frog and opened their doors to a public thirsty for a unique collection of flavours. Thus began the release of Dead Frog's flagship brews including the Nut Brown Ale, now known as the Classic.

In 2018, the Smith family and Dead Frog team moved into a new facility in the heart of Langley - complete with tasting room and a patio merely fifty feet away from our tank farm. With 20+ beers on tap, a retail store, growler station, and a small kitchen focused on locally sourced ingredients. Come on over for some delicious and fresh craft brews and eats.

OUR INGREDIENTS

We believe quality ingredients make quality craft brews, and we spend a lot of time making sure we choose the perfect ingredients for each of our brews.  We're also committed to informing people about the brews they're enjoying, so we put all of the ingredients in each beer right on the label.  We want everyone enjoying a Dead Frog brew to know exactly what they're drinking - premium malts and hops with no artificial anything, ever.

 

All of our brews are preservative free and unpasteurized.  We even post the hops and malts used in each beer on the individual brew pages.  If you have an questions about our ingredients, send us a message at ingredients@deadfrog.ca and we'll answer as soon as we can.
