OUR STORY

THE FIRST DEAD FROG BEER WAS BREWED IN A CRAMPED BUT COZY WAREHOUSE ACROSS FROM THE ALDERGROVE DRIVE-IN IN 2007.  AFTER HONING HIS CRAFT FOR 10 YEARS AT BACKWOODS BREWING, OUR PRESIDENT AND FOUNDER DERRICK DECIDED IT WAS TIME TO MAKE HIS MARK AND CHANGE UP THE NAME.  TOGETHER WITH HIS WIFE DONNA, DERRICK OPENED THE DOORS TO DEAD FROG IN JUNE OF 2007 ARMED WITH THE RECIPE FOR THE NUT BROWN (HASTILY SCRATCHED ONTO A BAR NAPKIN A COUPLE NIGHTS BEFORE), AND A THIRST TO DRIVE THE INDUSTRY FORWARD.

AFTER A YEAR OF SMASHING HIS KNEE CLIMBING OVER THE FORKLIFT TO GET OUT OF THE BREWERY AT NIGHT, DERRICK DECIDED IT WAS TIME TO FIND DEAD FROG NEW HOME.  IN 2008 DERRICK, DONNA, AND THE DEAD FROG TEAM MOVED INTO OUR CURRENT BREWERY AND RELEASED DEAD FROG'S FIRST SIX PACK - THE NUT BROWN ALE.  NOW KNOWN AS THE CLASSIC, THE NUT BROWN ALE IS THE CORNERSTONE OF OUR BREW LINEUP WHICH FEATURES EVERYTHING FROM AN EASY DRINKING LAGER, TO AN AWARD WINNING PEANUT BUTTER STOUT.  THANK YOU FOR READING OUR STORY, AND FOR ENJOYING OUR BREWS - CHEERS!

WE BELIEVE QUALITY INGREDIENTS MAKE QUALITY CRAFT BREWS, AND WE SPEND A LOT OF TIME MAKING SURE WE CHOOSE THE PERFECT INGREDIENTS FOR EACH OF OUR BREWS.  WE'RE ALSO COMMITTED TO INFORMING PEOPLE ABOUT THE BREWS THEY'RE ENJOYING, SO WE PUT ALL OF THE INGREDIENTS IN EACH BEER RIGHT ON THE LABEL.  WE WANT EVERYONE ENJOYING A DEAD FROG BREW TO KNOW EXACTLY WHAT THEY'RE DRINKING- PREMIUM MALTS AND HOPS WITH NO ARTIFICIAL ANYTHING, EVER.

ALL OF OUR BREWS ARE PRESERVATIVE FREE AND UNPASTEURIZED.  WE EVEN POST THE HOPS AND MALTS USED IN EACH BEER ON THE INDIVIDUAL BREW PAGES.  CHECK OUR BEERS PAGE OUT TO SEE WHAT GOES INTO EACH DEAD FROG BREW.
